Ban Ying coordinates activities against trafficking in persons in Berlin. Central to our work is: regional, national and international networking with NGOs, government institutions and authorities, educational training for police (in cooperation with the German Institute for Human Rights) and judiciary and the up-keep of a library on the issue of trafficking in persons. Publicity (Download press review Hasniati and Lakech Demise) is also a large part of our work in the form of media presence, lectures, events and publications on the issue of trafficking in women. We observe, document and analyze court proceedings. This is done during trials where our clients testify as well as at trials we observe, hoping to gain new insights regarding the phenomenon of trafficking in persons. Apart from observing trials we conduct narrative interviews with trafficked women. Despite limited capacities, we strive to analyze the situation of the affected women in the context of human rights.
